AMNESIA LATER - Shin (New World)

I'm back with MOAR AMNESIA.



We choose Shin this time and we find him talking to Toma. Shin asks if your firefly hunting over on your side isn't going well and tells you to go with them because the others are busy. Kent and Ikki are looking for some childhood secret base or something. Shin and Toma talk about how amazing the secret base was and stuff and Orion wonders if they are really adults with their somewhat childish interests. The staff or Meido no Hitsuji really are mysterious.

Toma tells you to go with Shin and the latter's like, "Ha? Why?" and Toma basically forces Shin to take you since both you and Shin were two of the most excited to see the fireflies. Toma leaves and Shin sulks wondering if Toma's imagination just grew wilder with age. Shin finally accepts that he's left with you. Orion wonders why Shin hasn't made any comments about the fireflies so far and he thinks Shin really does want to show them to you. Orion talks about who was the one who promised you the fireflies until Shin comes back and gets annoyed why you weren't following him. Stop standing there and doing nothing lol He tells you that Toma was worried about your physical condition that's why you can't travel with them on the trip next week. It's not good to overwork yourself. Why don't you go to a hospital? Orion freaks out and you tell him you're alright. Shin says that your symptoms might not be subjective. What if your illness was actually quite severe? You tell him it's just your lack of sleep and he asks why aren't you sleeping since you aren't preparing for exams like him? As a last resort you tell Shin not to mind but he becomes more curious and asks what are you not telling him? He finally lets go of the topic and Orion complains how suspicious Shin is. Is it because he's your childhood friend?

Shin talks about how there was a recent grow in firefly sightings this year so the people want to plan for a firefly festival. He tells you of a place where you can see the fireflies but it's a walking distance of 10 minutes. Orion is concerned if you can walk that distance since earlier you had felt a slight pain in your foot. Will you be alright? Is it because your geta does not fit well? You seem to have blisters on your heel.

You arrive at the park next to the pond on the other side. The pain in your foot is becoming more intense but you endure it to follow Shin he's your childhood friend dumbass! if i were you i would have complained

Some minutes passed and you still haven't found a single firefly. You just want to get this over with because your foot is starting to hurt like a bitch. Shin suggests to look for them in another place, like around the shrine and Orion thinks it's absolutely impossible! Tell him to stop being so obsessive! You tell him to wait and he asks you why. You tell him you're tired and he wonders why since you two haven't covered much ground yet. The distance from your home to Meido no Hitsuji is greater. Look here asshole you then tell him your feet hurt and he sees your toe bleeding. He panics and calls you a この馬鹿！because you should have told him sooner, you baka! He orders you to sit on the nearest bench and don't move because he'll come back soon. Orion wonders why Shin was so angry because you didn't do anything. He's a tsundere that's why.

After 5 minutes, Shin returns with a plaster since that's all he could get. You should treat it more properly when you get home. He sees that the skin of your toe is completely off and he asks if it is painful. You must have been pretty patient if you endured it. He informs you that everyone gave up looking for the fireflies after Shin reported what happened to you to Toma. He must've called Toma or something. He should call a taxi for you to go home in. You thank Shin and he says that it's nice to hear gratitude from other people but it's his fault why your foot is jacked up. You then tell him that you can still walk and he says his house is near so you should treat it there before going home. He takes your hand so you can hold on to him while walking.

 

Shin apologizes for not noticing and mentions that if other guys like Toma would have been there, they would have noticed immediately. He's just a guy who's always in a bad mood and couldn't easily understand, that's why you should tell him things. If things are painful and he doesn't notice, you should tell him and don't endure in silence therefore letting it worsen. It's been like this for a long time, with your patience being so strong. But you don't have to endure in front of him. He then asks if you're walking more slowly, which is a good thing because there's no need to hurry. He then asks if you two look like a couple like this. You two look as if you are on a date with your yukata. Do childhood friends do this kinds of things? Are you conscious of him now? You answer that yes, you are conscious and Shin gets embarrassed but he is glad. He then gets angry at himself about your foot again and makes sure that your position on his arm is comfortable. He then gets embarrassed again as he says that you shouldn't have told him that you were conscious of him. He tells you that if your foot is still hurting, he could carry you back since it would be bad if you fell and that he fell with you lol this guy's mood swings, I swear.

Back home, Shin takes a look at your foot. He will sterilize it so you have to endure the pain. Orion is glad for your foot's treatment but you exclaim when Shin pulls off the plaster because your blood made it all sticky. Your foot keeps on trembling because it hurts so bad lol Shin has surprising knowledge of first aid. He then tells you to wait as he calls for Toma. I mean, does Toma need to know everything??? Shin calls Toma and they get into a small argument about how Shin should've taken better care of you or something idk Shin ends the call and tells you that Ikki, Kent, and Waka got into a watergun fight and that Toma is glad you weren't there so you didn't get harmed lol Orion thinks the adults are shameful for doing that. Shin mentions the fireflies again and Orion's curiosity rears up on why all of you are so obsessed with them. You ask Shin why he wants to see them but he answers that he doesn't particularly want to. You then ask if the others like fireflies so much and he answers that he doesn't know since Mine says that Rika hates insects. Maybe it's because they're beautiful that's why they like them? For Ikki and Kent, it is because they like insects since they sometimes look for beetles in the middle of the night (refer to Ikki's New World) Last, you ask him why he wants to show you the fireflies. Orion wonders if what you asked was a land mine and Shin wonders if you forgot the reason. He asks if you forgot that you can't go with them to the recreational trip this year and it sparks a memory in you.

It's because last year you and the others made plans to see the fireflies this year and since you can't see them on this trip, they want to show them to you now. The promise was made by all of you, not just you and one other person.

When you couldn't go, they tried to change the schedule of the trip but it was impossible for the hotel to change on a short notice, so Sawa said that you must see them by hook or by crook. Shin gets guilty because it's his fault that he can't show them to you tonight. He then asks why you forgot such a thing. Maybe your sickness is more troubling than you made it out to be? Is he so untrustworthy that you won't tell him anything? He just want to know. The two of you comfortably talked earlier and now you clam up. Why? He asks if that's his limit as a childhood friend? Then he curses himself for spoiling everything. Orion is confused. Spoil what? The mood became frightening again. You tell him that Shin is being scary and he explains that he just hates that the distance between you too is kinda big i think. He then tells you to take time off work next Monday because he wants to meet you on that day.

Monday rolls and you wait for Shin to arrive. Orion wonders what he will tell you. He thinks Shin is getting desperate and is trying to get over the obstacle of being just an osananajimi. Shin arrives and aplogizes for being late. He starts to talk about how he couldn't sleep last nigh thinking about stuff and that he will try to change from now on.
