AMNESIA LATER - Toma (New World)

The game starts with some introductions. Those who played the first Amnesia game will know all the characters of course but I'll enumerate them all the same. There's Orion, the kawaii spirit hanging around you to help you bring back your memories, Shin, one of your childhood friends who speaks in a blunt manner but is a softie on the inside, Ikki and Kent, your coworkers in Meido no Hitsuji, Toma, your other childhood friend that regards you and Shin as his younger siblings, and Sawa and Mine, the obligatory girls lol

Anyway, the news announced that there has been a strange phenomenon happening lately about fireflies randomly appearing. You then remember that last year you promised someone that the two of you would watch the fireflies together. Orion thinks that you made the promise with Toma because earlier during work he kept on talking about rivers and mountains, two places where fireflies are normally located. You decide to investigate if what his hunch was true and if you really did promise with Toma.

The next day, Ikki invites you to watch the fireflies but Kent decides to NTR and tells Ikki that the manager is looking for him. After he leaves, Kent also invites you to watch the fireflies and that he expects a positive answer from you. Before you can ask him about the promise, Ukyo the Denpa Otoko, as what Orion calls him, arrives as a customer looking for Waka because he has photos of fireflies that he wants to show him when he slept downtown. When Waka tells Ukyo that fireflies are appearing everywhere, Ukyo monologues about how the world was changing and stuff. He then shows Waka the photo which is the glow of the firefly appearing alongside the twinkling of the stars. The manager becomes speechless from the beauty of the photo. Ukyo suggests that he guide Waka to the riverbank so that he can see the fireflies to which Waka agrees.

Waka leaves and Ukyo stares at you for some time. You call his name and he is surprised that you knew him. Orion thinks that you made a mistake in calling him but Ukyo says that he thinks he is mishearing things. He becomes emotional (lol) and excuses himself, leaving you and Orion to wonder what the hell just happened.

Ikki and Kent went to see Ukyo's photos of the fireflies and they admire them for being so pretty. Ikki asks what kind of angle Ukyo did and the latter replied that he lied down on the beach and looked up at the starry sky with the fireflies. It was just by chance that the stars were shown beautifully. Kent compliments Ukyo by saying that if amateurs like him take the photos under the same conditions, it will not come out as beautiful as what Ukyo took. Ikki asks if where did Ukyo take the pictures from and Waka answers that it's from a nearby riverbank that he hasn't seen yet. Ukyo then invites Ikki and Kent to go with him and Waka. They decide to go tomorrow evening along with all the other employees of the shop. Kent then suggests that because Rika is a regular customer of the shop too, she should also go watch the fireflies. BTW, Rika is the president of Ikki's fanclub.

Ikki asks the manager if it was alright for the girls to wear yukata. Waka answers that the boys can wear one too because it was not limited for girls only. Ukyo then bursts out if you were going too. When Waka said yes, Ukyo panics. The fireflies are found by the riverbank, so what if you drown or crash into driftwood or slide on a stone and strike your head or the glow of the firefly lights up a cigarette and you get brunt or if a meteorite drops by chance or if your fan sticks into your chest and plenty of other accidents that might occur to you. Orion is weirded out by Ukyo's morbid imagination but he cannot deny the fact that some of it was possible to happen. But is there really a possibility of a firefly lighting a cigarette, Ukyo?

Ikki tells Ukyo that his worrying is too extreme to which Kent agrees. Ukyo naturally disagrees with them both. Waka tells Ukyo not to worry because plenty of the staff will be around you. Ukyo is fired up and announces that he will safely catch the fireflies without fail.

After work, Orion asks if you had a yukata. If not, what will you do since the others will probably wear one while watching the fireflies. Toma then appears greeting you a good work and Shin cuts in telling him that remembering other peoples' shift schedule is a disgusting habit to have. Toma says that it's alright because it's only your shift that he memorized and Shin answers that that's even more disgusting lol. They argue about Toma taking Shin's shift and that to get it back he should pass the college entrance exam first.

Toma invites you to go with them to buy ready-made yukata at the department store and Orion tells you that it will be much easier if you're with two other people.

In the department store, Shin and Toma argue over what kind of yukata to buy you. Shin is tired of seeing pastel colors, thinking them childish, and wants the navy blue yukata but Toma wants the white yukata with the cherry blossom design.

After three hours of yukata shopping, you and Orion arrive home.

The next day, you are greeted by Mine who gushes about how cute you look in your yukata. Rika arrives to say that jealousy makes a woman ugly. All fo you meet in front of the shop with your yukata and Rika complains about Toma and Shin choosing your yukata for you because she wanted to show you a shop that sells beautiful yukata. Orion is amazed by how loveed you were. Waka sees Ukyo hiding behind somewhere like a creeper and Orion notices how normal he looks in a yukata.

You all arrive at your destination but the fireflies didn't come. Sawa wonders if it is because there is a large group of people around but Kent says that the fireflies have their own customs and schedules if when they will appear. Shin asks if Ukyo was sure that they were in the right place and Mine wonders if he has no sense of direction. Ukyo apologizes and stuff and the night goes on. Waka suggests for you all to split up and you get to pick to whom you want to go with.

TOMA

As soon as we pick yandere oniichan over here, he starts to talk about BEAVERS and their DAMS and BRIDGES lol As Toma talks about yukatas, a vague memory returns to you. The memory includes your school, so you convince Toma to leave the others and sneak into the university. Because Toma is an expert assassin, you two easily slip into the gates. When Toma asks what you forgot, you hurriedly reply that you forgot your eraser. Both Toma and Orion think you're reason was waaay stupid but being the oniichan that he is, he accepts your reason. While walking down the hallways, Toma tells you of a rumor about a theatrical club member dying in this school 10 years ago. The theatrical circle practiced on the first floor of the building all the time and one time they had to practice until midnight. A second year was covered in grease paint so she went to the bathroom to clean up. When the girl didn't return afterwards, the other members grew worried. Then, a male member went to the bathroom too because he thought it was funny. The members went with him and when they opened it, the bathroom was stained with a sea of blood. As for the girl who first went to the bathroom first, her throat was sliced upen and she was covered in blood, her face frozen in an expression of pain. Because the throat was sliced, she wasn't able to scream. But not only the throat. Her body was also chopped into pieces. Toma then added that the criminal was caught almost immediately. The criminal lurked around the private rooms with huge scissors, and the criminal was deemed to be the classmate of the murdered girl.

Toma the evil storyteller then cheerfully adds that he doesn't even know if the story was true or not. As for the criminal, he seemingly died in prison. Since then, every year in August, there is screaming on the first floor and on the walls of the bathroom  was a message written in blood.

The Toma LAUGHS lol As Orion screams how absolutely evil Toma was for scaring him, you get angry at him. He then asks if you wanna here another ghost story. You agree to listen and Orion demands why would you want to listen to ghost stories inside a school in the dead of the night. Toma is surprised that you would want to hear another story, then he says that to be frank, the next story is something that he doesn't really want to remember. He asks you if you want to know where all the missing people every year went to. In a lecture room in this school, there was an explosion when the class dozed off during the lecture. When someone enters that particular lecture room alone, he or she will go missing. Toma then asks if you want to hear it in full detail. Orion's like no thank you and wonders if this school was really safe or not.

Toma offers to guard the room you went into in case a security guard comes around (and what, Toma? You gonna kill them?) while you pretend to look for your eraser. Then, as expected, a guard comes by patrolling and Toma pulls you to hide under a desk. With the CG, it then sank into my head that they were still wearing their yukata. After the guard leaves, Toma thinks that this story will probably make Shin laugh then he apologizes for the uncomfortable position he placed you in. You ask if he hates the position you two are in to which he denies, in fact, he thinks it's nice.

Toma then mentions that your yukata is quite thin and then touching you through the material and the material of jeans are relatively different. He then urges you to forget what he said. Orion apologizes for interrupting but the position you both are in is not a love scene. Toma then asks you if you remembered something from your elementary days, about the summer festival.

In the past, Shin suggests that you, him, and Toma do a test of courage in your school because all the adults will be at the summer festival. Toma at first didn't want to go but he had to so that you and Shin wouldn't get into any danger. Toma then recalls how you three were almost found out when a sensei remained in school instead of going. While escaping, Shin tore his yukata on the fence and when you three went home, Shin's mother was so angry.

On another note, Toma then tells you that you look beautiful tonight.

You leave the school and Orion is a little sad that the school wasn't related to the fireflies at all, but at least you gained a memory. You went back to the riverbank where something happened involving Ikki's fanclub and as Waka and Toma talked, you gained another memory.

Last year, all of your friends in Meido no Hitsuji planned to go on a trip and they wanted to show you fireflies before going. In the end, the promise of seeing the fireflies wasn't between you and a single person at all, but it was Toma who came up with the idea.

When Waka leaves, you ask Toma why he's doing so much for you. He answers that it's only natural and there is no reason. He wants everything to be like it was back then, and doing everything for you is helping as he misses those old days.
